The fine people at AutoWeek were onsite at Monticello to cover the event and have posted a nicearticle, Exotics get sideways at Monticello's 'Drift With the Supercars', on their website. Be sure to check out the video MMC put together and keep your eyes peeled for a glimpse of the DriftLogix Mustang running the course!

MMC - Monticello Motor Club. Wow! What a good time with great people, great weather, and the finest track I've ever seen. Turnout was pretty good and we had as much driving time as we had tires for. Overall it was a much higher-speed track than what I'm traditionally used to. Most of the course was run in 3rd gear drifting between 50 and 70 mph. There were a couple areas with little run-off but overall it was very mistake friendly.

This event was part of the "Drift with the Supercars" experience so there were a number of very nice cars: Mercedes AMG Black Edition, Ford GT, Lamborghini Gallardo, Corvette C5, and a bunch of different Ferrari's and Porsche's. Unfortunately there were two casualties during the day; the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 convertible and a track-prepped Porshe had to be towed off the course with a flatbed truck.

The facilities at the track were really amazing. At the end of the day they had an awards ceremony in the driver's room and I somehow managed to walk away with the "Best Rookie" award. Thanks D-UP, I'm definitely looking forward to next year's event!

Well, so much for Monticello being the last event of the year. East Coast Bimmers held a show and drift event this past weekend in Allentown which I was fortunate enough to attend. It was a super tight and technical course, but a blast to drive. I think 3 people hopped the opening entry curb and ended up in the ditch so I'll count my blessings.

Started getting the car ready for the last ClubLoose event of the year, Night Moves on the 29th as well as D-UP! in Monticello, NY. Flushed the coolant system and replaced the 50/50 mixutre with 100% distilled h2o and water wetter by Redline. I don't have a super accurate gauge but based on the stock one it appears to be running at least slightly cooler.

I found this sweet picture and article on OMGDrift.com!

For everyone that's been emailing me about a video from Freedom Moves, yes I have HD footage coming. Here are some pics from Vinnie and Wrecked to get you started. Had a great time, it was good to see everyone out supporting the fight against terrorism! I can't believe both Anthony Fallon and I (the only 2 with Mustangs) were both sporting the American flag. And for all you skeptics, NO, we did not plan that.

This was the first chance to run some new 18x9 rims and what a difference it made! The extra grip enabled me to take the corners at a higher speed and maintain more sideways control. I'm hoping to get some better tires as I had some used Bridgestone's with only 50% tread which were almost dry-rotted.

Hot Moves was, well, HOT! I had my new camera rig on the car for some first-time footage. Check out the media link for the  high definition video edit.

Freedom Moves is quickly approaching - check out the details! BE THERE - the Mustang is going to be sporting some new hardware and a slightly modified look for the event.

We had great weather for the CJ Pony Parts Customer Appreciation Day show in Harrisburg, PA. There were quite a number of cars that turned out, probably close to 500 since we got there around 9:30 and were car #390. A BIG thank you to CJ's for the awesome event and congrats on the 10th year for this!

Another month, another drift event in the books. Had a great time at the Summer Moves ClubLoose event in Englishtown. There was a decent turnout with a good number of "C" class drivers and "B" as well. By the end of the day I was linking every turn and even doing a little of the bank. Definitely need to drop down from the 4.10 gears to a set of 3.73's though, 2nd gear is peaking out too early. Especially with the 55 MPH first turn entry.

We have added a new event to the list! The Sundance Vacations Speedway track in Drums, PA will be hosting their first drift event. If you are completely new to the sport or just interested in additional track time, you can't beat the price and location!

The 2010 Ohio Arthritis Auto Show was a blast this past weekend. We went out and had the Mustang on display. There were a large selection of cars and trucks at the event, everything from early 1900's Model T's to the latest Ferrari and Maserati. The Mid Ohio Track had their skid car out so we had some fun drifting a front-wheel drive Civic too!

Back from another great day of drifting with ClubLoose at Englishtown, NJ. The June event "Wrecked Moves" definitely lived up to its name. Unfortunately I saw about 3 or 4 cars go into the wall or barrier. Hopefully everyone can get their cars fixed and running for the next event. The Mustang held up really well given the heat and course. It was my first time on the full course and by the end of the day I was linking almost every turn. I'm definitely going to be investing in some wider rims/tires this winter; I'm in desperate need of more grip for faster entries and pulling around those corners.

Received some updated photos from the track day at Pocono. Enjoy!

Back from another great year at the Carlisle All-Ford National show. Drove out Friday morning early for the CJ Pony Parts Cruise. During the cruise a friend threw a belt so once getting him back up and running we headed out to the show. Friday was a bit on the wet side but Saturday was very nice. Everyone enjoyed the show cars, rock crawling, and burnout contest. Ford was there letting people test drive the new models so I was fortunate enough to put the 2011 V6 Mustang and Fiesta through the paces!

So, had a friend call me up and ask if I wanted to run with him at Pocono Raceway with the Corvette, Porsche, and Ferrari club. Hmmm, tough choice! Fortunately my schedule was clear so ran out to CJ Pony Parts, picked up some new Hawk brake pads, and loaded up the Mustang. I ran just shy of 140 MPH in the main straight, 120 MPH into turn one, and 110 MPH in turn two (tunnel turn), then hard braking into the road course.  I also ran through a full tank of gas and averaged 8.75 MPG!

Had a chance to attend the Carlisle Performance & Style show over the past weekend. It was a fun event, albeit a bit on the chilly side with wind gusts of 40 MPH and temps around the low 60s. Mainly went for the show but decided to take the tires and other equipment for a little fun on the extremely tight autocross track.

Flew back from San Francisco the night of the 23rd and immediately got prepped for the Team KO & Import Intelligence Drift Camp on the 24th. I only had 2 good tires left from last year's season but fortunately they lasted the majority of the event.  It was an awesome event with a ton of seat time. Good course layout, good pavement, and perfect weather!
